A throwback to a time when food was prepared with care, waitresses that were attentive and pleasant. Absolutely loved this place and everyone in the group cleaned their plate.

The hours are such a bummer… seems to cater only to retirees. If you have a typical m-f work schedule you’ll never be able to go. I won’t reflect this in my star review, but this was one of the few good restaurants in Cloquet and I haven’t been able to dine in over two years because of the hours!

Very busy, popular lunch spot. Back in 1982 it used to be an A&W Root Beer stand and there are still bits and pieces of history around, a stained glass lamp, glasses on shelves with the A&W bear, but the restaurant is all comfort food. Lots of breakfast food was coming out of the kitchen as we were looking at our menus and it looked GOOD, lots of daily specials, I had an open face sandwich, hot beef with real mashed potatoes where the entire plate is covered with gravy (this was the half portion). Hubby had an omelette with pancakes, both enjoyed our meals and large portions.

FAMILY TRADITION IS LIKE COMING HOME TO MOMMA'S COOKING AND KISSES! IT'S A GREAT QUAINT PLACE WHERE YOU FEEL LOVED! THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS AND THE FAMILY OWNED SERVICE WAS SPECTACULAR! ALSO THE PORTIONS WAS HUGE AND THE PRICES WERE GOOD FOR WHAT THEY OFFER! PLUS THEY OFFER CALL IN SERVICE FOR PIES,SALADS AND MORE! EVERY TOWN SHOULD HAVE A PLACE LIKE THIS EVERYWHERE! IF YOU ARE EVER IN CLOQUET STOP IN HAVE A MEAL AND GREAT CONVERSATIONS AND TELL'EM BUSHKRAFT BANDIT SENT YOU!

We wanted a real breakfast after a few days of camping and headed here from Jay Cooke State Park. The people were friendly the food was perfect, couldn't have asked for a better breakfast and service. Dont skip a cup of coffee. Will be back someday. We had to make q small plate for the pups they were also hungry from all hiking.

If you enjoy a small town diner/cafe then this is a place you'll want to go. Small dining room and a counter that fill up during the lunch hour. Lots of options from standard grill and sandwich fare to more home style meals and daily specials. We were impressed by the quality and quantity of food as well as the friendly service. Will definitely return.
